Galvanism
Makes use of direct electric current, which flows through the tissues between two electrodes. Increases membrane permeability in tissues, improving the metabolic rate and enabling better tissue nourishment.

Iontophoresis
A method of introducing agents into the dermis, using the effects of direct electric current.
Active ions in the agents enter the deep layers of the skin, providing it with valuable nutrients and therapeutic agents.
